Introduction - Come and join us
We are inviting applications from new players wishing to join the orchestra.
We are a group of young musicians aged 6 to 18 who play to a high standard with weekly rehearsals taking place during term time at the the Gracie Fields Theatre, Hudsons Walk, Rochdale
Members work with our conductor David Scott as well as receiving weekly coaching from tutors of the Royal Northern College of Music and other experts. Repertoire ranges from Beethoven to Bartok , Broadway to James Bond and more.
We are interested in hearing from string, woodwind and brass players. If you play an orchestral instrument to grade 4 or above we would love to hear from you.
The junior orchestra - conductor Sue Verity - invites young musicians who play string, woodwind, brass or percussion instruments to join them on Saturday mornings. Our repertoire includes well-known classical music and popular tunes including songs from the shows such as Abba.
